Performance of Top Carpooling and Ridesharing Apps in Argentina, Q4 2024

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Argentina showed varied performance trends across the top applications, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Uber - Request a ride demonstrated a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 97K at the beginning of October and peaking around 120K by mid-December. The app maintained a strong presence with weekly active users, beginning at 4.3M and peaking at over 5M in early December before settling back to 4.5M by the end of the quarter.

DiDi Rider: Affordable rides experienced a significant surge in weekly downloads in November, reaching up to 139K. However, there was a gradual decline towards December, with downloads dropping to approximately 79K. Active user numbers grew consistently over the quarter, starting at 2.7M and reaching a high of 3.5M in mid-December.

Cabify showed moderate growth in weekly downloads, with a notable peak of 48K in early December. The app's active users fluctuated, peaking at 2.1M in mid-December before declining to 1.5M by the end of the month.

Uber - Driver: Drive & Deliver saw a steady increase in weekly downloads, starting at 21K and rising to 41K by December. Active user numbers also rose, beginning at 494K and peaking at 684K in mid-December.

Finally, DiDi Driver: Drive & Earn Cash maintained steady weekly downloads throughout the quarter, with a slight peak at 33K in November. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 172K and 192K.
